Northgate Library

Seattle, WA

The Northgate Library and Community Center project included an all-new 10,089 SF library branch, a 20,190 SF community center and 1.67-acre community park. The community center included a full-size gymnasium. A pedestrian promenade with an improved crosswalk connects the new community center and library branch with the Northgate Mall entrance. Each of the two buildings incorporates similar design elements; structural systems are both steel post & beam and masonry; a combination of wood and metal decking is used at the roof. Exterior materials include brick veneer, metal siding, aluminum storefront, and exposed architectural concrete.
