Viewlands Elementary School

Seattle, Washington

The $52M Viewlands Elementary School project included demolition of the existing school and construction of a new, 95,000 SF, multi-story school building. The new school will offer classroom facilities for a maximum of 650 students, with a strong focus on incorporating outdoor learning spaces within a natural setting. Site enhancements encompassed both covered and open play areas, along with the addition of new parking facilities.

The school campus is located within an active residential neighborhood, adjacent to Carkeek Park, and on native Duwamish Tribe land and required close coordination and engagement with multiple stakeholders.
