Absher staff member Jessica A, Sandy T, Kelly S and Lori K represented NAWIC, South Sound Chapter #187 to facilitate the Block Kids competition the Meeker Elementary. 60 Kindergarten students were given string, rock, a sheet of aluminum foil, paper and 100 Legos to create a structure. Teams had to use 3 of the 4 items and 75 Legos–the results were creative and innovative! It’s never too early to spark a child’s interest in a career in construction.
