Pearl Street Family YMCA

Absher completed the 94,000 SF Pearl Street Family YMCA, replacing the aging facility with a modern, two-story complex featuring three pools, upgraded locker rooms, expanded fitness areas, a full climbing wall, community rooms, and enhanced childcare spaces. Built adjacent to the operational YMCA, Absher carefully phased construction to maintain year-round programming and ensure visitor safety. The project also included new site utilities, a specialized UIC Well drainage system, and offsite improvements, creating a durable, high-performance facility that expands capacity for swim lessons, youth programs, and wellness activities for the Tacoma community.
