FY08 Schofield Barracks

Oahu, HI

The Schofield Barracks project’s scope included development of a new Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) complex for two hundred single soldiers in two buildings; demolition of several existing buildings currently on the site; construction of bicycle and motorcycle shelters and a central plant building; and all associated site work. Each UEPH is a five-story, 100-unit building, and the project is certified LEED Gold. Absher streamlined construction by using several fast-tracking methods including separating the site and foundation, design submittals from the main design package.
