Pierce County Detention and Corrections Center

The Pierce County Detention and Corrections Center is an all-new 1,000-bed facility to expand the existing County Jail’s capacity. The American Institute of Architects included the design in its showcase collection, and the American Correctional Association listed the facility among its choices of exemplary justice facilities in North America. The project includes five levels of secure inmate holding facilities with a connecting skybridge to the existing jail facility.
