Edmonds School District Maintenance and Transportation Replacement
Absher replaced the Edmonds School District’s existing Maintenance and Transportation building with a new 56,000 SF facility on a new site. The facilities maintenance component consisted of shops dedicated to general carpentry, mechanical work, welding, paint booth, roofing and plumbing. The building houses several tool cribs, work areas for the respective crews, as well as locker and break room and offices. The transportation component houses seven service bays for buses and fleet vehicles, as well as storage, shops and offices. The site accommodates parking for 160 school buses, district fleet vehicles, maintenance equipment and staff vehicles. The facility includes a fueling station with an underground fuel tank and a bus wash facility.
